not going to go crazy this first week on the nfl. i have my hunches of who will be good and who will be bad, but you really need to get a feel the first couple of weeks. preseason meant nothing. no point in throwing money away this early, so everything is just for one unit this week.
kansas city -5.5 over san diego (1 star)......probably my best bet of the week even though only one star. kc has a history of playing well in openers. i look for a very high scoring game from both sides with kc winning by 10 points or better.
houston +14 over miami (1 star).......going against the obvious. miami should destroy this team. i have a gut feeling miami's offense struggles here. miami wins, but by less than two td's.
new england pick over buffalo (1 star).......should be a great year in the afc east, very good teams all the way around. new england is one of those teams i expect to be very good this year. not asking them to win by a bunch, just one. i think they can do it.
green bay -4.5 over minnesota (1 star).....just taking this because all i have read was minnesota this week. you all know what happens right? pack gets the win and cover.
